A Little Bitter
but I'll get Better!
29/01/2011
So, I arrived in Copenhagen very very tired. I was also a little weak because I realized that I didn't have a thing to eat since I was at the Dubliner with Deb. Honestly, I wasn't about to give Copenhagen it's fair chance because I felt like crap. I talked with the ticket office and I am not able to book a night train for Stockholm and they advised me that Oslo wasn't a good bet. The train for Oslo left pretty soon and it arrived well after dark. I wasn't in the mood to spend anymore time on a train and waste a day. Getting back would be the same issue unless I went to Stockholm on the way out which would cost days and good time. I got to get out of here!!! So, I said "Can I take a night train to Berlin?" Nope! So I decided to rough it at a hostel for a night. I got some Kroner and booked my night train to Amsterdam. To get out of this place! I asked the information guy for a local hostel. He said, " Ha Ha Ha!They might not be open this time of year". It was looking to be a really really crappy day!
I found the hostel and rooms were open. The lobby was night, but the room was very very dirty and it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Yuck! One guy in my room was pretty rude.....didn't say much either. Still hungry I headed down stairs to check my e-mail. Shoot! E-Mail is having issues and I can't connect my computer. After 20 minutes it loads up. Finally, a sign of hope! A weird happenstance, as I read my e-mail. "Do I have family in Copenhagen?" I said to myself.
More to come AND it's thrilling conclusion!
